The auction is THIS Friday and the Auction Committee has the answers to all of your burning questions!
Q. What the heck do I wear?!
A. Whatever you want! As you know we are transporting you to the set of The Price Is Right! This allows for a wide range of clothing choices for you! Your favorite party dress, jeans and a matching set of “eye-catching” Price Is Right T-Shirts or maybe that flashy suit you’ve had tucked away in your closet!
Q. I know it starts at 5:30, but what happens, when?
A. The Silent Auction will take place from 5:30 – 7:15. This is a great time to snack on passed appetizers, bid on some amazing auction items, fill your social calendar with some fabulous Buy-In Parties and catch up and mingle with fellow parents. Dinner and the Live Auction will begin at 7:30. Dinner this year will be a sit-down family style with a meat and vegetarian entrée.
Q. How late does the event run?
A. The auction should end by 10-10:15pm. Plan on staying to the end as you do NOT want to miss Abernethy’s Showcase Showdown! Two contestants will be selected to play to win an OUT OF THIS WORLD PRIZE!
Q. What kind of stuff can I "win" anyway?
A. Great question! We've got gift cards to all of your favorite restaurants, getaways to Oregon's favorite vacation destinations (and beyond!), unique experiences that are quite possibly, once-in-a-lifetime! Local goods and gift baskets that have been carefully curated... and have we mentioned the buy-in parties?!
Q. Will there be any Celebrities making an appearance at this event?
A. As a matter of fact, YES! An AMAZING Portland Celebrity will be making an appearance at the end of the night! You DO NOT want to miss it!
Q. I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I don't know how to buy tickets to this awesome event. Can you help me Auction Committee?

Dear Parents and Friends of Abernethy,
Our school’s largest fundraiser of the year, the annual Auction, is set for March 1, 2019. While planning is underway, there are a number of opportunities to get involved. With your generous support and volunteerism, our community fundraising provides support for teacher funding, extracurricular programs, academic curriculum, and materials for our school.
Inspired by the “The Price is Right” television game show, this year’s auction will transport you to Hollywood’s Television City for Abernethy’s version of the iconic game show: The Future is Bright. ‘Come on down’ and join the excitement! Here are ways to get involved:
Do you own a condo in Black Butte? Run a hot restaurant in town? Have connections with any of our local professional sports teams? Our community has A-list connections and these make for great auction items. Plus, it’s tax deductible! Enter the details of your donation directly at the Auction website via the ‘Donate’ button. Or, download and return a completed donation form to Kim Bedwell, firstname.lastname@example.org by February 1, 2019.

Be a part of the behind-the-scenes magic! We would love your help with a wide variety of auction planning, and as we get closer to the Gala Event, week-of and night-of assistance. And… all volunteers receive complimentary tickets to the Gala Event! It’s a fun way to meet other parents while raising funds for our school.
